Police drones probably won't have lethal weapons anytime soon

North Dakota lawmakers recently passed a law that will allow police drones to carry “less than lethal” weapons such as Tasers and tear gas
Tasers, despite being known as a “less than lethal” weapon, were responsible for the deaths of more than 500 people in the United States from 2001-2012, according to an Amnesty International study. Many experts on law enforcement and military technology were surprised by the new law, though they don’t quite see it as a stepping stone to police drones armed with more dangerous weapons
